Happy Fourth!!
We went to Star Valley for the 4th of July and had a great time. Every year at Star Valley Ranch they do a golf cart parade and games at the park. This was the first year we were able to make it. Nick had this fabulous idea to decorate the golf cart as a tank. We were all a little skeptical but it turned out really cute. Here are a few pictures of the 4th of July at Grandma and Grandpa Burr's.
Getting this amazing float to the parade.
Parade coming down the hill. Our tank ended up winning the most patriotic award!! Go BURR's
Jaycie and Keira getting ready to race. This ended up not even being a running race but they were sure ready. Even when the lady tried to tell Jaycie she was going to hop in a bag instead she kept her position to run the whole time. It was hilarious watching the lady try to move her to a new position while in the running position.
The boys in their gunny sack race. They ended up taking first and second good for you boys.
The long awaited train ride.

Fun in the Sun!!
Okay so it wasn't sunny, but it was still fun. We spent the weekend in Rigby with Shawn and Mariah. On Friday we drove to Rexburg to play in the new spray park. This spray park was awesome for the kids and Free!!!! I wish they had more of these around town.

This Merry-Go-Round was also at the park. The kids loved it, the adults however, were very sick by the time the ride was over. I was impressed they could even get on it, I had to sit on the bench and wait. I couldn't even watch the thing without getting sick. I must be getting old.
On Saturday we headed out on a four wheeling adventure. Cal (Nicks Dad) had, for a long time, wanted all of us to go to this amazing mine out by INL. I am not sure exactly where we were but I do know it was out in the middle of NOWHERE!!! We left at 10am and about 1 hour later Nick and I started smelling burning. So of course we check all gages and find that nothing is wrong so we continue on. Then we notice that Cal's four wheeler trailer tires are smoking. Crap!! So we do a lot of honking yelling, waving of arms flashing lights etc. and then BOOM!! the tire blows. Two of the Four tires were gone. With much frustration we only had one spare. So Shawn and Karla (Nicks Mom) headed back to the nearest town for a new tire. They missed that store by 15 min. So now they had to head to Rigby. They get there and all they have is the rim of the tire and Rexburg had the actual tire so they drove all over to get the tires. They finally got back a while later.
As for those sitting along the side of the road. We sat, and then we sat did I mention we sat. The kids were getting restless so we decided to drive to one of the nearest sites. (That was just around the corner) A half an hour later we arrive. Only after Nick gets pulled over for going 81 in a 65!! OOPS!! Not so great of a day, as you can tell. Well we finally get the tires fixed and head out. (it is now 5:00pm by the way) We get to the mine trail head, get loaded up and on our way. Nicks four wheeler breaks down. Okay, maybe we should not have come. We can take a hint. It was quite the adventure. All the way home the trailer still had problems because a spring had broke under the trailer so the base of the trailer was rubbing the tire. Needless to say no one got home until 10:30 that night. Starving and very very Grumpy. A trip we will never forget.
