GONE FISHIN'

Nick is an awesome stay at home dad/police officer. He cooks, cleans, does laundry, drives the kids to school and dance, and still has time for fun. All while I am at work. He decided to take the kids ice fishing with Grandpa Edwards. They had a lot of fun. They didn't get one bite but enjoyed playing in the snow and with slimy worms. Wish I could have been there. Thank you Nick for being so wonderful.

Brayden got home and said, "Hey mom, I played with worms and it didn't bother me one bit." Look at this face, do you think it looks like it bothered him?

Cross Country Skiing!
The City of Pocatello was doing a free day at Nordic for the family to go cross country skiing or snow shoeing. It was a lot of fun. The kids got tired quick so we put them in a toboggan. That was quiet the workout. We had a great time!

Brayden actually did pretty good. He stayed up for the most part. His favorite part was the hills. (down not up)

Jaycie, on the other hand, was on the ground a lot.
Brayden had me take over pulling for a little bit saying. "Mom needs the exercise, she is gaining weight". He must hear me talk about it all the time.

Dance Class!

Jaycie started tap and ballet at the beginning of January. She has gone three times and loves every minute. The first day Jaycie went she wasn't shy at all, she jumped right in and did great. When she was done she walked over to Nick and said "Dad I think I need a tutu!" She was the only one there that day without one.

A few pictures Nick took at dance class.

Sorry the Video is crooked. Just tip your head to the side.

Christmas Fun!!

Christmas is always fun but very busy! We went to Grandma and Grandpa Burr's house and had a wonderful time. We opened really fun gifts, (Brandy and I ended up giving the exact same gift to each other),ate a lot and then of course played in the snow. Grandma has this wonderful road that is perfect for sledding. We hook up the sleds to the razor and can go for hours. After a couple of days at Grandma and Grandpa's house we went to Rexburg for family pictures with Nana and Grandpa Edwards and then a trip to the temple. The following day we did the Christmas Extravaganza, as Nana called it, where we went to Grandpa Edwards' work and played. She rented a Jumper for the kids, okay and the adults. We played volleyball, kickball, dodge ball, did crafts, had a tea party and ate. The eating part of the holiday's is always necessary. It too was a fun gift exchange. It was a wonderful holiday and fun getting together with family.

Christmas was fun with the kids this year. Brayden asked for a Wii. Jaycie asked for a Kitchen. Good thing Santa and Mrs. Claus have wanted a wii for a couple years now or that might not have happened. Nick insisted that Santa bring Guitar Hero. On Christmas Eve Santa and Mrs. Claus stayed up until 12:00 trying out the game. (Well, it has to be working when the kids wake up). It was a great year. Nick unfortunately had to work on Christmas but luckily work allowed him to spend many hours in and out of the house.

The Christmas Extravaganza pictures are going to have to be posted later. They are on Aubrey's camera.

Happy Anniversary!

Nick and I have been married 7 years now. They have been a wonderful 7 years, he makes marriage amazing and easy. He gave me the most wonderful gift I have ever received. There is a little story behind it so bear with me. Since Thanksgiving I have been missing my wedding ring. I looked and looked and looked for three weeks and couldn't find it. I gutted the kids rooms, tore apart my bedroom (with my mothers help), searched the vacuum bag with no luck. I was very upset and Nick was too. Every time I asked him to help me look for it he continued to be mad and say no I don't support the fact that you lost it. After the house was immaculate he gave me until February to find it and then he was going to buy me a new one. Well the day before out anniversary we were at my moms house for her Christmas party and he brings me over a jewelry bag. My first thoughts were, Oh, great I didn't want a new ring, I want my own. Well I opened it up and it was MY RING! He had the broken pieces fixed and then added a wedding band to it. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. I both cried and called him a BUTT numerous times. No wonder he wouldn't help me dig through the vacuum bag. It was a wonderful day and gift.

I love you Nick, I look forward to the next many years together.

Happy Birthday Jaycie!

Jaycie turned 3 on December 11Th! It has been fun watching her grow up. She is so sweet yet so sour at the same time. She loves her brother and wants to be just like him. In fact when it is time to get her pajamas on she chooses Brayden's super heroes over her girly pj's any day. She is our little entertainer and mother hen. We love you Jaycie.

This is Jaycie eating the gift from Grandpa Burr. There is history behind the cucumber. SHE LOVES THEM!!!

For some strange reason we lost all the other pictures of her birthday.

Three things about Jaycie that we love!

1. Jaycie is loving and friendly. She is so outgoing, she will talk to anyone and loves giving hugs and kisses to others. Most of her friends get annoyed of her touchiness but we love it.

2. Jaycie is very entertaining. She loves to preform in front of others. She shows her moves as often as she can. Man can she dance!

3. Jaycie is Jaycie. For those of you that know her personally, you know exactly what I mean. She is wonderful!

We love you Jaycie Happy 3rd Year.

Family Pictures 2009!

This was a fun year to get pictures. Brayden is at that awkward can't smile naturally age. We were laughing so hard at half his faces. The only way were were able to get him to smile real is by having him say Uncle AJ and Grandma. It was fun to see Jaycie pose for all of her pics.
