Shake it Girl!


Jaycie has always loved dancing and music. Even when she was 6 months old you would tell her to dance and she would bounce all over the place. Well she had her first recital in May and has continually asked to get back in it. She still practices all her moves daily. She learned two dances for this recital the Indian Dance (Ballet) and the 50's dance (tap). Tap was her favorite. Sorry about the pictures it was impossible to not get blurry.

All of the other pictures are so blurry you can't tell what is going on. Part of the dance they had to shake their hips all the way back and I might be prejudice but she could shake that booty better than the rest.

New House well Kind of!

So we moved again!! Okay, about 3 months ago we moved I just haven't had time to update. We moved back into our rental house. Nick might have to leave in September with Army, so we decided it would be best to have our renter move out so that I don't have to worry about the rental if he goes. It was a blessing in disguise however, two weeks after the renter moved out he called us and told us he was laid off! We felt terrible for him but we were very grateful we had the thought to do as we did. That would have been a tough few months without his rent. It was kind of nice moving back into a house I was already comfortable with.

Before we moved back in I was talking with my dad about options for remodel. A way to put a master bath upstairs. After a lot of drawing and redrawing we finally decided. My dad is an amazing person that does everything in his power to make things happen. He does all he can to make my ideas possible. He came up this weekend and in two days had the plumbing, walls, electric, tub and toilet installed. IT IS WONDERFUL!!! We had to combine two rooms to do this. It was a huge mess but with my moms help it stayed really clean. I think she vacuumed and vacuumed and then vacuumed again trying to keep the sheet rock dust and insulation under control. I have wonderful parents and husband for doing so much work to make this all happen. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! It was an exciting Mother's Day gift. Now just the finishing touches.
Yes we do actually use these. It feels like a country western movie when you sit in a bathtub with unfinished walls surrounding you.

Boise Trip! (April)
Each month Nick goes down to Boise for Drill, this time we had Jen and Jesse go with us. It was a lot of fun. We stayed in a hotel, went out to eat, took a tour of the military base, and went to Boondocks. It was nice to have a weekend away.

Yes, this is Jayce and I behind Jen and Elle. We were pretty much there the entire time. We did pass them once I think, but that was because Jen purposely slowed down to let us go. Jaycie kept yelling "Get out of the way Car" Something my road rage mother taught her.
Jaycie had tubes put in her ears. That is what the orange goop is in her ear, not ear wax!We had such a good time. The Boise Trip was a lot of fun this time. Thanks Jen and Jesse for going with us.

It's the DODGE NATIONAL CIRCUIT FINALS RODEO IN POCATELLO IDAHO!!!! This is what is heard at my house throughout the last couple weeks of March and into April. My Kids and Nick feel very compelled to yell this repeatedly up until the day we attend the rodeo. It is always a good time. We usually try to go one night out of the week. It is always the same old rodeo but the kids love it.

Graduation!!

Nick DID IT!! We are so proud. After a busy two years Nick completed classes for his Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice. He is now one step closer to accomplishing one of his goals of being apart of a federal agency. Good job Nicker. WE LOVE YOU!

Granite Hot Springs!

Nick and I were finally able to have a day off together so we decided to go snowmobiling with my sister and Eric. We had a great time. Brandy and Eric let us use Rob's sled which was great. Jaycie rode with Eric and Brandy and when Eric would start up a hill Jaycie would tighten up and say "Hey Brany, Eric is trazy." She loved it though. Brayden also took a turn on Uncle Eric's sled and had a blast. I think Brandy spent most of her time hanging off the back end of the sled just trying her hardest to keep her and Jaycie on the sled.

Brayden came running down the stairs, ready to jump in. I quickly warned him that freezing toes in the hot water will burn. He of course was way to cool for mom's advice and said it wouldn't hurt "him." He put one foot in the water and of course it burned. So we had to hear him whine about how is feet hurt. I finally just made Nick force him into the water. What does mom know?

Ice Fishing!


We planned another ice fishing trip so that I could be apart of the fun and sure enough it was fun. I did more pulling kids up and down on the sledding hill than actual fishing, but the ride down was a good time. We only caught two fish the whole time, one of which Kaden Wakley caught. He caught his two seconds after putting the fishing pole in the hole. I have never seen such a patient kid. Brayden and Zach were all about playing, but not Kaden. He sat by that hole the entire time. The girls decided that eating, chit chatting, and sledding were the way to go. This was the fish that Kaden caught and it took him a lot to leave his hole for this picture. He kept looking back at his hole to make sure he wasn't missing any fish.
